Celebrated our mum’s 80th birthday at The Sunshine House. Spent 5 days with glorious weather, great food and plenty of shopping. Cases full of goodies to take home. Always new restaurants to eat in and new shops to find. Had a great time celebrating with cake and planned trips. Here’s to many more birthdays.

How lucky are we, who got to stay at The Sunshine House for a glorious 3 months? We thoroughly enjoyed ALL the house had to offer: outdoor cooking and dining al fresco and basking in the wonderful sunshine. We loved the whole area of the Costa Blanca and all it had to offer. We very much enjoyed visiting of course all of Jávea, but also Moraira, Villajoyosa and Altea. Oh, and quite a few trips to Dénia as well. I think our favourite thing, besides the delicious food and wine, was to discover the many Miradors all around with their spectacular views. I will miss the Montgó a lot. Thank you both so much. Maybe we will see you in Florida? Best regards.

Der Aufenthalt in eurem wunderschönen Ferienhaus war für uns etwas ganz Besonderes. Wir hatten die einmalige Gelegenheit, uns als Familie wiederzusehen und ein neues Familienmitglied kennenzulernen - und das in dieser traumhaften Umgebung. Das Haus und die Atmosphäre haben wirklich das beigetragen , dass wir entspannte und wertvolle Zeit miteinander verbringen konnten.
Wir werden die gemeinsamen Stunden in der Sonne, das Lachen und die Gespräche lang im Herzen behalten.Vielen Dank, dass wir an diesem wunderschönen Ort sein durften.

Many thanks for letting Alan and I stay at your house to escape the Irish weather! We love to eat and drink:) and to explore new places. Here are some of our recommendations:
Fanatical – on the promenade. Happy Hour drinks from 2pm – 7pm. The Pornstar martini is amazing! Sushi and burgers great also.
BBQ Fuego – excellent for roast chicken and fish (also on the promenade).
Guadalest – historical town with great mountain views.
Fishy Fishy – in Moraira, a touch of home. Fenomenal fish, chips and peas amongst other dishes also offered as options. Moraira has beautiful, scenic spots.

Liebe Familie Reichert, Das Haus, der Pool, alles ist so gross und toll! Der Ort ist super, weil man gleich so viel erreichen kann. Die Aussicht ist super und alles ist so schön eingerichtet. Wir sind hier eine Gruppe von 9 Personen und alle fühlen sich sehr wohl. Danke dass wir hier Urlaub machen durften. Wir haben hier 13 Tage Urlaub gemacht. Alles war immer sehr spassig und der Grill kam oft zum Einsatz. Das Haus hat eine schöne Lage und die Wege sind mit Auto nur sehr kurz! Den Pool find ich besonders toll da er so riesig ist (gleich nachdem wir angekommen sind um 1, sind wir in den Pool gehopst). Danke dass wir hier sein durften.
Très belle propriété décorée avec beaucoup de goût. Environnement très calme, spacieux et fonctionnel. Le barbecue et bar vers la piscine sont top pour passer de bons moments. Belle piscine. À la fois de l’ensoleillement mais aussi de l’ombre. Des espaces de tranquillité aussi. Il ne manquait rien pour notre confort. Nous recommandons ce havre de paix qui n’est pas loin de la mer tout en étant au calme. Literies très confortables, cuisine très bien équipée. 3 douches très pratiques quand on est nombreux. Des lieux d’intérêt à proximité et très accessibles. Très bonne réactivité avec l’agence. Instructions parfaitement claires et précises.

Spacious, clean, had absolutely everything we could have needed as a large family. I really can’t fault it. Exactly as advertised and as the photos depict. Was perfect for our family holiday. Really good value for money as well.
Beautiful house, neighbourhood and three different beaches. We loved the lemon garden and have enjoyed the fallen fruit this week. Our kids had the time of their lives in the pool and all of them tried to swim without “airpuffs” with help from an adult. The rooftop balcony has been the perfect place for the breakfast coffee and sitting down at the lemon garden for boardgames in the shade. The dishwasher broke down early on our vacation, but the service was great and we could relax again. Thank you for this trip. We will absolutely recommend your house!

Lieber Peter, Das waren fünfeinhalb wunderbare, leichte und doch intensive Tage, die wir hier verbracht haben. Wir konnten nahtlos an so viele Themen anknüpfen, andere neu aufmachen oder auch einfach nur lustig sein. Und wir haben den Klempner ersetzt. Es gibt viel Sonnenschein im Sunshine House, nicht nur außen. Wobei das auch toll ist. Ich danke Dir von Herzen für Deine Initiative und Dir, Siobhan, für das Teilen Deines Mannes. Love, Jürgen
What a birthday/shopping/eating trip! I went to Jávea with "The Mothership" to meet my sister, Siobhan, for some birthday celebrations. We shopped till we dropped, ate the finest of food, and had celebrations and drinks on the beach (yes, in January!). A fantastic week away with lots of sunshine, great shops and restaurants (Casa Lili is a must!). Same time, same place next year for the big 80th birthday! P.S. My family enjoyed very much their stay at the house. I recommend it to anyone who wants a quiet place, big enough for a large family or a group of friends.

Very pleasant stay with great view and good amenities. Quiet neighbourhood, short driving distance from the closest beaches and the town of Xàbia.

Following a really tough year at work, myself and my best mate decided we would treat ourselves to a trip to The Sunshine House and boy were we happy we did! We flew to Valencia and picked up our hire car and made our way to the villa, pretty simple to find so all was good. On arrival we were instantly impressed with the place. A fantastic villa with great pool and outside kitchen. Lots of outside space to enjoy the fabulous views and the much appreciated quietness, perfect for relaxing days round the pool followed by an evening bbq. The villa also has an outside fridge which was great for cooling the beer beside the pool. We also took a trip to Benidorm which is not to everyone’s taste but non the less great for a change of scenery. All in all we really couldn’t fault our stay and when we showed our colleagues our pics, they were really impressed and sorry they hadn’t joined us. Looking forward to returning again.

Another beautifully, relaxing family break at the fabulous Sunshine House. We decided to try late April/ early May for our 10 day trip and were pleasantly surprised with how warm it was. The house was as fabulous as we remembered, in fact the whole place had been re-decorated from top to bottom and was beautifully bright and fresh. There is also the addition of some really comfortable, modern furniture in the main living room which is great while watching TV or just relaxing if the temperature drops. We visited the beach a few times which was great as there wasn’t the same volume of people and it was much easier to find seats in the bars and restaurants so it really is worth considering the earlier dates in the year. Can’t wait to return again. Many thanks to the owners for everything and will be in touch to book again very soon.
Back again! There is no better place to see in the New Year than at The Sunshine House. With temperatures at 22 degrees during the day, bright sunshine and blue skies, it was the perfect way to start 2023. Our kids loved the annual charity swim in the sea on New Year’s day when almost the whole of Javea meets up in fancy dress to run into the icy waters. Lunch with a bottle of chilled white wine at La Siesta afterwards topped off the day. After the rush of Christmas, just chilling at The Sunshine House, looking out onto the amazing view in the silence is the perfect tonic, and the owners are always upgrading the property (not that it needs it!) so there’s always something new to be impressed with each time you go. Wow! Out of this world! Perfect for an autumn break to occupy the teenage kids….. still warm enough to swim in the pool, lots of games provided at the house, trip to Concentaina for the annual medieval market, dinner at the beach, drinks at the port, day trip to Valencia to the aquarium, shopping at the mall, visit to the local market to buy churros, a week in fact was not long enough. The Sunshine House is just beautiful with lots of different areas to hang out and relax. Lovely kitchen, good sized bedrooms with comfy beds, gorgeous pool area, lots of parking space, beautiful gardens, I could go on…. Highly recommend!

We had a lovely holiday at The Sunshine House. The house was immaculate on arrival and had everything we needed. Siobhan answered any questions/queries we had within minutes of asking. We particularly loved the pool with there being toys and inflatables for the kids and also toys and books inside where they could go and play to get out the sun. We will hopefully be retuning again for another wonderful holiday.
Our first visit to The Sunshine House on recommendation from friends and what can I say - this place is unbelievable!
It’s a fantastically relaxing experience while still being close to any nightlife and shops you want to visit.
There is everything you could need in the impressive villa and what an experience waking up every morning to a swim in your own private pool.
Fantastic outdoor kitchen and bbq which we took full advantage of, stocking up the fridge with beer and wine.
You really need to make the short trip down to the local town which has a very impressive beach and is packed with a vast selection
of seafront bars and restaurants - try a cocktail in the jungle themed Monkiria Bar; you can’t go wrong for choice and the food
is also great here. We took a trip to El Castell de Guadalest also, a small village in the mountains near Benidorm.
Must see scenery when you make your way through the small shops to the main castle where the views are breath-taking.
Will be back again for sure!

Coming back to The Sunshine House to celebrate the change of the year was one of the best decisions that we have taken regarding holidays.
We enjoyed sitting in the sun, hearing the birds, taking walks in the nearby roads, visiting the cities and the markets.
The best experience was going on the beach on the first day of the New Year to swim with all the locals. A completely New Year’s day celebration!

Nous avons passé de superbes vacances. Le calme, la vue, le soleil, tout était au rendez-vous. Nous avons exploré quelque peu la région avec nos VAE, quelle expérience! Paysages magnifiques, grande quietude. The Sunshine House porte bien son nom! Tout y est, beaux espaces, bien équipée, coin au calme, à l’ombre, JUST PERFECT.

Many thanks to the super nice hosts of the Sunshine House! We spent a great week in the idyllic house and settled in perfectly within a short time. There was enough space for all family members (8 persons) and everyone could unfold and relax in their own high quality double bedrooms. After one week it was hard for us to leave the beautiful terrace with this fantastic view. The Sunshine House is perfect to escape the stressful city noise. It is wonderfully and quietly located at the upper end of Javea. The view is therefore phenomenal. Surrounded by tree-covered hills (the surrounding region is under nature protection), the house is well protected without any neighbours overlooking you.
The house is friendly, bright and in a perfectly maintained condition. The spacious living and dining area as well as the very well equipped kitchen invite you to cook together. The adjacent terrace with seating area and pool is one of the highlights of the house. My family stayed here all day long. We could also prepare our dinner in the great outdoor kitchen with barbecue and enjoy it in the existing dining area - stargazing included!
The house is well connected to Javea and the beach is very easy to reach with a short drive.
The communication with the hosts was absolutely smooth and very friendly. Check in/out was comfortable and relaxed. Thank you so much for this wonderful holiday, hope to see you again next year!

Vielen lieben Dank für eure bedingungslose Gastfreundschaft und die außergewöhnliche Atmosphäre, die ich im Sunshine House genießen durfte. Dank euch (und natürlich dem luxuriös ausgestatteten Haus), war es ein Urlaub an den ich mich noch die nächsten Jahre erinnern werde. Ich habe mehr Energie tanken können als ich überhaupt mitnehmen kann und hoffe, dass dieses tolle Gefühl noch die nächsten Monate anhalten und mich durch die Wintermonate ziehen wird.
Dank euch habe ich wieder angefangen eine gesunden Lebensrhythmus zu finden, und, man glaubt es kaum, sogar wieder vernünftig zu essen
Die Küche am Pool wird mich immer an unseren gemeinsamen Gambaabend erinnern und ich hoffe, dass noch einige folgen werden! This is now the third time that we spent New Year at The Sunshine House together with our good friends and hosts Peter and Siobhan. It has become a family tradition and the kids couldn't wait to travel to Jávea for a few days in the sun. Lunches by the pool, chilling on the terrace, walking on the beach......what better way is there to get ready for the challenges of a new year? The Sunshine House certainly makes it easy for you!
We had a wonderful week at The Sunshine House! Lots of space for the whole family and a spotless house! A very quiet area, perfect for sleeping at night, but yet so close to everything from supermarkets and shops, restaurants and bars. Our favourite spot was the port area which we went to several times. Nice walks for ice cream although my son kept saying "Can we go back to the pool in the Sunshine House?!" Thank you so much for a wonderful stay and we will certainly book again soon for next year!!!

Arrived this time to find a complete make-over on the outside space of this fantastic villa, new tiles all round, pool refurbished
and tiled, a solar outdoor shower and most importantly for us a complete outside kitchen. There is a new BBQ, gas cooking hobs,
a sink, plenty of worktop prep space and perhaps most important of all, an outdoor fridge to keep the beers and wine cold!
We used this almost every day/night at some stage. If at all possible, it's much better than our last visit,
you can now simply lie around the pool and not move - which is exactly what this place is all about!
We did venture out this time to the Algar Waterfalls just outside Benidorm, not expensive to get in, but quite crowded and to be
honest a little disappointing. Needs cleaning up and is more suitable to kids who want to jump off the rocks into the freezing pools,
but perhaps we are spoiled for that kind of thing in Ireland where these tend to be unspoiled. Have already booked for next year,
this time with all the family and am looking forward to playing a round of golf on the local course which is just down the road.
Looking forward to it already! Many thanks to the owners for the new upgrades - this really puts this villa in a different league.

We had a great time at The Sunshine House! We loved the house, the swimming pool, the outside kitchen, the garden!
The well equipped house made our stay really easy. We enjoyed also the nearby sights like the Arenal beach and the town of Xàbia.
The local market was so colourful and full of surprises. Next time we visit the place, we will certainly go to the mountain Montgo.
My son said something funny: "This is a very tall mountain, taller even than the palm trees"!
The house can offer both a relaxing time but also interesting activities in the area. So this combination makes it a unique place and
I'm very happy that we were able to come. We wish you all the best and we hope that we will be able to come again soon.

Thank you for a fabulous family holiday at The Sunshine House. The location is beautiful and we enjoyed the pool,
BBQ area and numerous seating areas around the villa, pool and garden. Views were lovely and the short drive down the
hill to Javea is easy. Javea has something for everyone, with a safe beach, oodles of restaurants and bars and shops.
Highly recommend.
I had a wonderful stay at “The Sunshine House”. I found the accommodation and facilities brilliant, being able to cook outside in the outdoor kitchen was a great way to enjoy the spanish weather. The house is in an ideal location too. My highlights in the local area would have to include Playa la Granadella: this beach was only a few minutes drive away and is incredibly beautiful! The beachclub “La Siesta” is a great place to watch the sunset, while “Chabada” is a great place to enjoy cocktails in Playa Arenal! All in all, an amazing house to spend the week in! Thanks!

Spent 3 days in the wonderful villa in May for a quick getaway. House was beautiful with an amazing view and everything matched
the description from the site. We were the first to try out the new outdoor kitchen and shower following the exterior renovation
to this already stunning place.
Just wish I could have stayed longer.
My eight year old son and myself spent a week at The Sunshine House in November with friends. This spacious property never makes you feel that you are on top of each other as it hosts many areas to "hang out". My son loved spending time at the pool and using all of the pool toys and inflatables courtesy of the owners. We were also able to make use of the many lemons from the trees in order to make delicious meals in the very spacious kitchen (armed with more utensils than I have at home!) With rain inevitable at this time of year, we weren't deflated as we had use of the many books, DVDs and toys which the owners had provided. Theres so much to do in this area for kids: we went to the beach on many occasions, visited the mall, went on walks to the lighthouse, went go-karting and enjoyed Javea's own Halloween party for kids in the old town. We were also lucky to be there on 1 November for the famous annual medieval market in Cocentaina. Spain in November is certainly very attractive... and more so if you are staying at The Sunshine House!
Ideal place for a nice holiday in the sun!
The house is very spacious and can really accommodate a family or (small) group of friends.
It was nice and clean upon arrival. The pool is great and the first night we enjoyed a wonderful BBQ at the poolside.
The pool and terrace are private and offer a great view over the hills and trees with the sea in the far distance.
It takes only a short drive to Javea center where you'll find all you need. Take a nice stroll on the promenade
in the evenings where you'll find lots of nice bars and restaurants. During the day the beach is nice there too.
All in all a really good spot and definitively a place I would come back to.
Fantastic Stay at THE SUNSHINE HOUSE.
This was our first time with a villa rental as we had always been preferred package holidays before, what a mistake that has been
based on our fantastic week here. Firstly, the sunshine House offers fantastic accommodation and facilities that couldn't fail
to keep even the most critical guest more than happy.
We wanted a really quiet relaxing week and boy did we get it. The pool is brilliant, we also used the BBQ a few nights,
just beyond belief the peace and quiet eating outdoors in the purpose built eating area by the pool. Great areas also in the
main house living area and the apartment where you could relax and watch the tv or use the kitchens to prepare your evening meals.
Bedrooms are also great with really comfortable beds and bathrooms with the essential showers. Air conditioning throughout made
it really comfortable, when taking a break from the fantastic weather.
We made the trip into Javea town a few times which is only down the road. Great shopping centres on the way to stock up if you
want to cook at the house. Also on offer are some brilliant seafront bars and restaurants which you easily take a taxi to and
from in the evenings, any of which we tried where fantastic and good value for money. There is even a small fairground for any

the shopping there, only 40 minutes by car and easy to get to.
All in all, the holiday is one I will never forget, the Sunshine House was well looked after, clean and a fantastic experience
to see how the other half live. I would have no hesitation recommending it and look forward to our next visit.
We had never been to this part of Spain before and we absolutely loved it! The Sunshine House was the perfect location for our family (including my mother who joined us!) and from the beginning we felt right at home. There is a lot of space, so everyone was able to spread out. The house is in a very quiet neighbourhood within 10 minutes of the beach by car. We loved how easy it was to go to the beach and enjoy the shops and restaurants and summer "vibe" but then leave it all behind when we were ready to go back to the peace of the Sunshine House up on the hill! There are a couple little stores including a bakery within walking distance which is really convenient too. The house was immaculate, very comfortable beds and the kitchen has everything one needs. It was great to have the BBQ too and what can we say, the pool was definitely the favourite activity of all! Without question, we will be back and highly recommend the Sunshine House to any family looking for a holiday escape in Spain.
Wir haben einen wunderschönen Urlaub im Juni 2018 hier verbracht. das Haus, der Pool und der Garten sind nicht zu schlagen. Am schönsten fanden wir den Ausblick! Besonders lecker gegessen haben wir im Lungo Mare am El Arenal. Wir empfehlen es euch.) Das Haus würden wir jedem weiter-empfehlen! Vielen Dank für den schönen Urlaub!

Dies war unser dritter Besuch in Eurem sehr erholsamen Feriendomizil! Wir haben es genossen, endlich mal garnichts zu tun.... und einfach ausspannen, und im November bei 28° auf der Terrasse sonnen, abends irgendwo zwischen Denia und Alicante essen gehen und sonst einfach schlafen. Dies alles mit dem Bewusstsein, dass es zuhause kalt, neblig und nass ist, dass die Blätter fallen, die Heizungen laufen, die Winterreifen aufgezogen werden und die meisten Leute bereits wieder Schnupfen und Husten haben. La Casa del Sol
I know a special place, The Sunshine House is its name
Its Siobhan and Peter’s holiday home, in Javea, in Spain.
In summer 2017, they invited us for a holiday
And they were the perfect hosts during our week long stay.
When we arrived late at night, the kids thought it was uber cool
Because they were allowed to jump straight into the swimming pool!
Next morning the rumble of trolley wheels meant breakfast was on its way
Fresh bread and croissants, collected from the bakery that day
On the first evening, the kids hired bikes along the promenade
And we sat and had cocktails but couldn’t pronounce what we had!
We quickly learned that Caipirinha was the magic word
Because to order another drink would frankly be absurd.
All the meals we had that week really were a treat
Barbequed pork and tuna steaks are examples of what we would eat.
We were lucky to get a table at “La Siesta” with a view
And we went to see Abba and sang along to “Voulez-vous”!
Uber alles la playa was my favourite place to go
The water was so inviting, we went out on a pedalo.
There was no room for Siobhan to join in the fun
So she swam behind us to get photos of everyone.
Siobhan is still a big kid at heart and hasn’t really changed
For Schoko’s birthday, a present and birthday cake were arranged.
She also entertained the kids with pool games and volleyball
And her surprise chocolate pizza was enjoyed by us all.
Thank you Siobhan and Peter for a wonderful relaxing time
We enjoyed your company, the sunshine and the wine.
Catching up with Siobhan was one of my favourite things
Because we go back a very long way, all the way to Rathmore swings.
Thank you so much for hosting our boys-trip to Spain in celebration of our upcoming graduation. We have left a small token of our gratitude. We are sure you are going to enjoy it but not as much as we did staying in The Sunshine House.
Fantastic place to stay, recommend it 100 percent. Absolute peace and tranquility while just a short drive to Javea centre. Wonderful pool and relax area. Will book again soon!
